Linda Chapman: Finding Attunement with Children & Adolescents - Part 2
Karen welcomes Linda Chapman, founder and director of Art Therapy Institute of the Redwoods, to the show for the conclusion of their conversation about finding attunement with children and adolescents.

Linda Chapman, M.A., is a retired board certified art therapist living in Redwood Valley in Northern California. Linda was affiliated with the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine for 25 years where she held clinical faculty and research appointments. Linda was a joinder and for 10 years directed the UCSF/San Francisco General Hospital Pediatric Play Therapy Program, and has conducted federally funded art therapy outcome research with the UCSF/SFGH Injury Center.
Linda is a nationally recognized expert in art therapy and play therapy with children who are victims of violence, child abuse and trauma. She is the author of a book, Neurobiologically Informed Trauma Therapy with Children and Adolescents: Understanding Mechanisms of Change, and several peer-review papers. She has authored and co-authored chapters in Effective Treatments for PTSD, California Art Therapy Trends, Group Play Therapy, and Effective Treatments for PTSD: Practice Guidelines from the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She is a former member of the Review Board of Art Therapy: Journal of the American Art Therapy Association. Linda was an adjunct faculty member of many universities and has taught and lectured throughout the US, Canada, and Europe.
